Personalise your game

Type the words you'd like engraved. The layout picture in the gallery shows where each one goes.

We engrave exactly what you type, so please check spellings. Personalised items can't be returned unless faulty. Made to order and dispatched in 3–5 working days.

A full chess set where the king and queen carry your names.

A gift for the couple who never let the other one win. It makes a memorable anniversary, wedding or Valentine's present, a special Father's Day gift, a housewarming centrepiece, or a Christmas present to play all through the holidays.

What you get

  • 1 engraved chessboard, 240 × 250 mm, with your title and bottom line
  • 32 slot-in pieces, 30–50 mm tall: 16 light and 16 dark-toned
  • Round Ø24 mm bases for every piece
  • Your initials on the king and queen
  • A rules card

How it's made

Cut and laser-engraved in the UK from 3 mm birch plywood, with no glue. Every piece is engraved with your words, so no two sets are the same.

How to play

Each player moves one piece per turn, each kind of piece moving in its own way, and captures by landing on an opponent's piece. Trap your opponent's king so it can't escape (checkmate) and you win. The full rules card comes in the box.

Made to order in the UK and dispatched in 3–5 working days.

Because each game is personalised for you, it can't be returned for a change of mind. This doesn't affect your rights if it arrives faulty or damaged.

Contains small parts. Designed as a gift for adults and families, not as a toy for young children.
